  • Payments verified server-side

    Every charge is confirmed with the payment gateway from our own server before a ticket exists. A browser cannot tell us a payment succeeded.

  • Each ticket issued once

    Refreshing the return page, retrying a payment or a webhook arriving twice all resolve to the same tickets — never a duplicate.

  • Inventory the database enforces

    Availability is held under a row lock and bounded by database constraints, so the final ticket in a tier can only ever sell once.

No fee on free tickets, and no fee to publish an event page.

Paid tickets

3.5% + ₦100

Per order, paid by the buyer on top of your price. List a ₦1,000 ticket and you receive ₦1,000 — the buyer is charged ₦1,135.

The payment gateway’s own charge comes out of that fee, so nothing is deducted from your ticket price.

  • How much does Event Tix cost?

    Listing an event is free, and free tickets carry no fee at all. Paid tickets carry 3.5% + ₦100 per order, and the buyer pays it on top of your price — list a ₦1,000 ticket and you receive ₦1,000 while the buyer is charged ₦1,135. The payment gateway's own charge comes out of our fee, not out of your ticket price.

  • How do buyers pay?

    Card, bank transfer, USSD and the other Nigerian channels our payment gateway supports. Prices are in naira, and Event Tix never sees or stores a card number.

  • When do I get paid?

    Ticket revenue is collected by our payment gateway today, and the organiser payout schedule is the next piece of work. Until it ships, settlement is arranged directly with us.

  • How secure are the tickets?

    Every ticket has a unique code issued only after our server has verified the payment with the gateway directly. Repeated webhooks, refreshes and retries cannot mint a second ticket for the same payment.

  • How does check-in work?

    Your staff open the scanner in the browser on their own phone — no app to install — and admit guests by pointing the camera at each ticket. Every scan is recorded against the member who made it, and a ticket that has already been admitted is refused. Offline scanning that syncs when the network returns is still to come.

  • Can I sell more than one type of ticket?

    Yes. Add as many tiers as you need with their own price, quantity and per-order limits. Free tiers alongside paid ones are on the roadmap.

  • How do I create an event?

    Create an account, become an organiser, then publish your first event page. Most organisers are live in under five minutes.
